Land owners demand compensation from govt, AAI

Dimapur: Landowners association of Aoyimti village and Hollohon colony have reiterated its earlier demand for compensation on “colossal” amount invested due The association said that with the insistence of state government and Airport Authority of India (AAI), landowners parted with their land but despite all sacrifices, dedications and loyalties, the government offered “stone instead of bread”.
The landowners stated that government conducted the survey knowing fully that national highway and petrol pumps were situated within the vicinity of Dimapur airport but the government had said the airport could not be materialized due to presence of National Highway and petrol pumps.
