Mumbai Airport plans a dedicated cargo complex

Mumbai: The developers of the Mumbai Airport are working on a blueprint for setting up a dedicated cargo complex to cater to all types of cargo requirements which is expected to be finalised in the next two to three months.
“We are currently working on a master plan for setting up a cargo complex at the Mumbai Airport. The plan should be ready in the next two to three months,” a Mumbai International Airport (MIAL) spokesperson said on Friday.
The proposed complex would have one-million tonnes of capacity and be constructed in and around the existing cargo complex, the spokesperson said. “Basically, we need to have a separate cargo complex which can cater to all types of cargo such as pharmaceuticals, perishable cargo, among others.
