Hyderabad: The owner of the building in New Bowenpally that was damaged in Wednesday’s crash during the India Aviation 2010 show has now demanded a compensation of at least Rs 1 crore. The Secunderabad Cantonment Board, on the other hand, is probing whether there were any violations in the construction of the building.
“I constructed this building as per the sanctioned plan in 2003 at a cost of Rs one crore. After the crash, no official from any wing has contacted me. If I am not paid compensation, I will approach the State Human Rights Commission,”
building owner L Ramesh Kumar Goud told TOI on Thursday.
There were nine families, including owner Ramesh’s, living in the building, but by Thursday evening all of them had vacated after cops warned them of structural damage. At least four families surrounding this building also vacated their premises.
