Two years after promising a man reimbursement, Kingfisher backtracks

Mumbai: After almost two years, and around 140 requests made to Kingfisher Airlines, Manoj Kumar Sharma (32), who was earlier promised that he would be reimbursed for a cancelled flight, has now been clearly told that the airline will not be able to do so.
Sharma, a Mumbai-based businessman boarded his flight from Mumbai to Delhi on April 16, 2008, and would have taken the Kingfisher flight DN-551 at 13.45 for Dharamshala from Delhi airport. In Delhi, he was told that the connecting flight was cancelled, but since his ticket mentioned that he would get a reimbursement in the next few days, he was not worried.
".. The current email says that the validity period is over. They say that the reimbursement can only be collected within a time-frame of three months from the date of cancellation, and I want to ask them why had they made a false promise earlier," Sharma added.
Sharma plans to approach the judiciary if the airline fails to keep  its promise.
