DGCA deregisters 3 planes of Paramount

Mumbai: The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) is believed to have deregistered private carrier Paramount Airways' three planes, which are in a dispute over payment to lessors.
According to sources, DGCA issued an order in this regard yesterday and deregistration will be effective from Monday.
"DGCA have taken action against the Coimbatore-based airline (Paramount Airways) following a dispute over payments with its lessors GE Capital Aviation Service Ltd and Celestial Aviation Trading," a source said.
The decision comes in the wake of the Supreme Court rejecting Paramount's offer to pay Rs 25 crore to its lessors in installments.
