Former Lankan Tamil legislator denied entry to India

Colombo: Former Tamil National Alliance (TNA) legislator M.K Sivajilingam was reportedly denied entry into India yesterday(13).
Another former TNA parliamentarian, N. Sri Kanatha had told Daily Mirror that Sivajilingam was denied entry to India at the Chennai airport and was due to return to Sri Lanka late last night.
Indian authorities last December also denied visa to Sivajilingam, who defected from the TNA and contested as an independent candidate at the January Presidential elections when he has come to Chennai from London via Dubai.
The Indian immigration officials have detained him at the airport and sent him back without allowing him to enter the country.
