Jet Airways jets in

Jet Airways has launched daily services between India and South Africa which, it says, will help realise some of the untapped business and tourist potential between the two countries.
The flights will operate between Johannesburg and Mumbai, from where guests will be able to connect to a network that covers 51 destinations across India and 22 international destinations in South East Asia, the Far East as well as North America, Europe and the Gulf.
In South Africa, the airline has forged agreements with both South African Airways and BA/Comair offering convenient connectivity to and from South Africa’s main cities.
According to figures from the Indian Department of Commerce South Africa is currently India’s 18th largest trading partner, although Mr Kardassis said that there was also plenty of scope for tourism growth. The countries’ historical links date back 150 years and there are strong political, cultural and sporting ties.
Jet Airways will operate Airbus A330-200 aircraft on its South African routes in a two-cabin configuration, with 30 PremiƩre (business class) and 190 Economy seats. Flight arrival times vary marginally due to slot timings at OR Tambo, but all will land between 7am and 8am, and will depart between 10.30am and 11.30am.
Jet Airways is running a launch special for South African guests of R2500 (excluding taxes and surcharges) to Mumbai and R3700 to any other Jet Airways’ destination in India. The launch fare is on sale until the end of April.
