Kolkata: With the arrest of Kim Davy (47), one of the main accused in the sensational Purulia Arms Drop case, officials of the designated CBI court at Bichar Bhavan at Bankshall Court have started preparations for re-opening the case. Davy aka Niels Holcks, a Dutch citizen, is likely to be brought to India for trial.
He had disappeared from Sahara international airport in Mumbai soon after the aircraft from which the arms and ammunition was dropped at Purulia, was grounded. Davy was arrested on Sunday by officials of the Ministry of Justice of Denmark after it agreed to extradite him following a request from India. The case will be restarted six years after Peter Bleach, a British national, was released following efforts by the UK Government.
