GMADA all set to launch airport city

Mohali: As the Greater Mohali Area Development Authority (GMADA) is all set to launch its much-awaited residential urban estate — Airport City, the State Bank of India (SBI) has sought more time to get ready for the distribution of brochures and receipt of application forms.
While the SBI has already been empanelled for the job, several other leading nationalised and private-sector banks are also approaching GMADA to be party in the offer of allotting a house at an affordable rate which will be in the vicinity of the upcoming international airport in Mohali.
“We are ready with the brochures but the SBI authorities are still working on certain modalities to set up a mechanism in their network for implementing the scheme,” said GMADA Chief Administrator Vivek Partap Singh, while hinting at the launch within a couple of days.
Singh said once the SBI gets ready for the launch, all other banks interested to get empanelled would be considered and decided.
