Mumbai: Captain Gustav Baldauf, who previously held a senior post with Austrian Airlines, today took charge as Air India's Chief Operating Officer.
Before this assignment, Captain Baldauf was working as Executive Vice-President, Flight Operations of Austrian Airline. He also worked as Vice-President, Flight Operations, with domestic private air-carrier Jet Airways.
After taking charge, Captain Baldauf is understood to have attended Air India's internal audit committee meeting held in the city today.
The meeting was attended by Air India's Chairman and Managing Director, Arvind Jadhav, and other high officials.
The airline has also recently appointed four independent Directors to its Board namely Anand Mahindra, Harsh Neotia, Retired Air Chief Marshal Fali H Major and Amit Mitra.
