StanChart to give $475m loan to Air India

Mumbai: Air India has tied up with the Standard Chartered Bank for a short term loan of $475 million for acquisition of three Boeing 777 aircraft. The two companies signed the agreement late last month on the terms and conditions, an airline official said.
The National Aviation Company of India, the holding company of Air India, had last month invited Requests for Proposals (RFP) from domestic and international financial institutions to raise $475 million for acquiring three Boeing 777-300 Extended Range planes.
