The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has invited bids under the ‘two packet system’ for the advertising rights on approximately 800 passenger baggage trolleys along with their retrieval, maintenance and safeguarding at the new airport terminal building of the Goa Airport. The contract shall be awarded for a period of three years and shall attract a minimum reserved license fee of Rs 602 per trolley per month. The EMD required is Rs 185,600. The technical bid shall be opened on June 18, 2010 at 3:30 pm.
As per the eligibility criteria specified, interested parties should have a minimum experience of two years in advertisement display business or trolley management services at transportation centres such as airports, seaports, railways as whole, bus terminals, including bus shelters, etc. Further, hoteliers, airlines including foreign airlines, business and industrial houses, courier agencies, shopping malls, etc., shall also be eligible for the contract.
All participating firms should have an annual turnover of over Rs 50 lakh from the business for which experience has been claimed and they shall be required to furnish a solvency certificate for Rs 35 lakh issued by a nationalised bank or scheduled commercial bank in the specified format.
