Mangalore: Air India will start disbursing the ex gratia compensation, announced by the Union government for the victims of the May 22 crash, from June 10.
An amount of Rs. 2 lakh will be paid to the families of the deceased and Rs. 50,000 to the injured, from the Prime Minister's Relief Fund.
The June 10 compensation programme is meant for those claimants who received AI's interim compensation on May 28 and 29, the airline said in a release on Saturday.
They can meet AI officials at a camp to be held at Hotel Ocean Pearl, Navbharat Circle here, from 10.30 a.m., bringing with them proof of identity in the original. The cheque will be made in the name of the rightful claimants.
