Cable snag led to ATC trouble

Mumbai: The reasons for power failures at Mumbai airport seem to lie in the power cables connecting the systems and lights to the powerhouse.
Over a month ago, the Airports Authority of India had written to Mumbai International Airport about the poor condition of the cables connecting the ATC radar and other installations at the airport. Though MIAL undertook the laying of new cables, almost 25% of the work is still undone.
