Chennai Airport will get a multi-level car park soon

Based on a "Build, Own, Operate and Transfer" (BOOT) model, Chennai airport will get a multi-level car parking facility at an estimated cost of Rs. 132 crore. This will be built at the entrance of domestic terminal of Chennai Airport and can accomodate 1338 cars.
According to the tender issued by Airports Authority of India (AAI), the proposed car park will be laided out in a 56283 sq m area and in that, 7375 sq m area on the ground or the mezzanine floor will be used for commercial purpose and a total of three basement levels for car parking.
The tender document states that the proposed charges will be Rs 60 up to 4 hours and Rs. 60 for an additional 4 hours inside the car parking.
The car-park project will be implemented according to the drawings of the Master Plan of Chennai (MPC) utilising the best of national/international practices.
