Mangalore: The Instrument Landing System at Bajpe airport that had been damaged after having been hit by the Air India Express flight that crashed here on May 22, has been reinstated. It started functioning at 6.30 pm on Wednesday. With this, the flight schedules are expected to improve.
The Air India Express flight from Dubai touched down at the local airport as usual on Wednesday June 16 morning, but the flight from Kuwait that was to land here at 9.30 am was diverted to Kozhikode.
