Air India clears outstanding dues to DIAL

Mumbai: National air carrier Air India has cleared all its outstanding dues with the private operator of the Delhi airport, DIAL, an airline official said. "Air India has paid Rs 30 crore to Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) towards the final settlement of all its dues," an Air India spokesperson said in Mumbai.
These dues were on account of landing and parking charges, as well as ground facility rentals, the spokesperson said.
Air India had amassed these dues over a period of time, with some unpaid sums even dating back to the time when the Delhi airport was under Airports Authority of India (AAI), the spokesperson said.
The Delhi airport, along with the Mumbai airport, was handed over to private developers in 2006 for modernisation and development by forming joint ventures between private developers and the AAI.
