CM smarts under BIA insult

Bangalore: Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa was fuming after BJP president Nitin Gadkari was denied use of the VIP lounge at the Bangalore airport on Saturday.
His second reason to be angry: he had to huff and puff to the general terminal to welcome his leader.
“This is a grave insult. How can they allow this to happen?” a BJP worker said, as he saw Gadkari walking out of the terminal building like any ordinary passenger.
The action began the moment Jet Airways flight 9W 801 arrived from Delhi at 9.20 am, ten minutes late.
Yeddyurappa was already at the airport, with state party president K S Eshwarappa, MP P C Mohan and cabinet colleagues Katta Subramanya Naidu and Ramachandra Gowda.
All of them were waiting at the VIP lounge thinking Gadkari would come in through the VIP gate. But within minutes, they were told that Gadkari could not be allowed through VIP gate with CISF staff quoting the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) rules.
Even airport personnel tried to convince the CISF that the CM could be allowed to receive visitors at the VIP lounge, but in vain. Yeddyurappa was visibly irked by the refusal.
