Delhi-Ludhiana flight from August 1

Chandigarh: After having backed out from its earlier plans of starting a daily flight between Delhi and Ludhiana last year, Kingfisher Airlines is now staging a comeback the next month, following the successful experience of Alliance Air. "Yes, the airlines is starting its operations from August 1 with a daily flight from the newly renovated Sahnewal airport in Ludhiana," deputy CM Sukhbir Badal told TOI.
Punjab government sources revealed that the Kingfisher group, which was earlier planning to start operations last year in September, deferred its plans after conveying to government that the airport needed an overhauling and system upgradation.
