Made to travel in plane without AC, flyers revolt

New Delhi: Passengers onboard a SpiceJet flight from Srinagar to Mumbai via Delhi had a harrowing time as their aircraft's air-conditioner (AC) stopped working for nearly an hour during Srinagar-Delhi journey. After the flight landed in Delhi in the afternoon, the passengers created a ruckus saying a two-hour flight to Mumbai without AC was unacceptable. They were finally shifted to another aircraft and the flight took off for Mumbai after a two-hour delay.
SpiceJet flight 852 took off from Srinagar at 12:30pm. Passengers said it was almost unbearable inside the aircraft because the AC was not working due to a technical fault.
When the flight landed in Delhi and passengers from the capital boarded the plane for its Delhi-Mumbai leg at 2:40pm, the passengers from Srinagar realized that the crew was planning to take-off for Mumbai without fixing the AC. The passengers then protested. Those who boarded from Delhi also joined in.
