Six new members set to board SpiceJet

New Delhi: The Ministry of Civil Aviation has cleared a proposal from low-cost carrier SpiceJet to induct six new members on the airline’s board. Media baron Kalanithi Maran’s Kal Airways acquired 38 per cent in SpiceJet last month and has made an open offer to buy another 20 per cent.
The new board members are Maran, Kavery Kalanithi Maran, M.K. Harinarayanan, J. Ravindran, S. Sridharan and Nicholas Martin Paul. Kalanithi is likely to be the company’s new chairman and managing director.
