Mangalore: Out of the 108 persons from Karnataka who were killed in the ill-fated Air India Express IX-812 crash, 80 families have approached the district administration to claim the compensation announced by the State Government Chief Minister's Relief Fund.
As many as 28 families are yet to claim the relief from CM's Relief Fund.
Each family of the deceased would get a compensation of Rs 2 lakh. So far, a sum of Rs 160 lakh have been distributed among the family members.
