Bollywood film grows Indian traffic to Christchurch

Christchurch Airport recorded a 45 per cent increase in passenger traffic from India, testament to the success of a series of campaigns promoting New Zealand tourism to the massive Indian market.
"Christchurch Airport has been involved in joint venture marketing and promotion campaigns with Tourism New Zealand for the last few years, and this result is undoubtedly due to the success of these campaigns," Christchurch Airport Marketing Manager Gareth Owen said
Targeting honeymooners, the most recent campaign cashed in on the latest Bollywood film, 'I Hate Luv Storys', which was partly shot in Queenstown earlier this year.
150 million are expected to see the film.
