Navi Mumbai Airport Should have been Operational by 2011: Praful Patel

The Government of India has accorded 'in-principle' approval for setting up of a Greenfield airport at Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra in the year 2007 said Civil Aviation Minister Praful Patel.
No time frame was stipulated for completion of the project. However, in view of the growing traffic and congestion at Mumbai airport, the Navi Mumbai airport should have been operational by 2011, said Patel in Lok Sabha today.
