A 17-hour flight from Guwahati?

Ahmedabad: Passengers of a Guwahati-Ahmedabad flight have alleged that their 3-hour flight took them 17 hours to reach Ahmedabad, leaving them drained, dejected and downright angry over the airline’s insensitiveness. The airline, however, claims the flight was delayed by only 2 hours.
The 21 travellers, including children and senior citizens, said they were asked to fend for themselves at Kolkata airport without food, water or information.
Spice flight 884 left Guwahati at 7.20 pm on Tuesday and was scheduled to arrive in Ahmedabad at 11.30 pm. After a stopover at Kolkata airport at 8.20 pm, they were supposed to leave for Ahmedabad in 40 minutes.
However, passengers allege that citing a technical snag, the airline diverted the flight to Chennai. They were told their fresh flight would leave in two hours. However, they were able to reach their destination only the next day, they said.
