AI Express cancels flights

Muscat: Air-India Express has released the list of services it will not be operating until October 30. According to the information given by the carrier's office in Muscat, as many as 57 flights originating from and bound to Indian sectors which have Muscat as either a stopover or transit point will be cancelled on the given dates from September 7 to October 30.
IX 141/142, from Delhi-Amritsar-Muscat-Amritsar- Delhi (via Abu Dhabi) will not operate on Tuesdays, September 7, 14, 21, 28 and October 5, 12, 19, and 26. Likewise, the same flight is cancelled on Sundays on September 12, 19, 26, October 3, 10, 17, and 24. IX 543/542, Trivandrum- Kochi-Muscat-Trivandrum on Monday September 13, 20, and 27, October 4, 11, 18, and 25 are cancelled along with its services on Wednesday September 8, 15, 22, and 29, with the same on October 6, 13, 20, and 27.
The services of IX 549/554, scheduled on Trivandrum- Muscat-Kochi-Trivandrum sectors on Tuesdays September 7, 14, 21, and 28, October 5, 12, 19, and 26 will not take off. Most interestingly, the services of IX 337/350, Kozhikode- Muscat- Kozhikode, termed as highly sought- after services on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays of September 13, 20, 21, 22, 27, 28, and 29, along with the same three days in October 4, 5, 6, 11, 12, 13, 18, 19, 20, 25, 26, 27 are cancelled.
"The cancellations are purely 'due to operational reasons' and they are not permanently suspended" Mohit Sain, Country Manager, National Aviation Company of India Limited (NACIL) to which the Air India and the Air India Express belong to, told the Observer.
