New Delhi: With an objective of increasing aircraft availability, reducing inventory, ensuring quicker turnaround times and bringing cost effectiveness, the National Aviation Company of India Limited (NACIL), that runs Air India, has entered into an agreement with Ramco Systems Limited in Mumbai yesterday, an Air India spokesperson said. The software would help in automating business processes of line and heavy maintenance, component and engine maintenance, quality assurance, production, planning and control, material procurement, inventory, payments and accounting functions and others, he added.
Apart from it, the solution would also help on improvement in turnaround time of business processes, leading to increased aircraft availability, reduced float requirement and consequent reduction in inventory.
