Mumbai: Air India’s (AI) in-flight official was chargesheeted last week for favouring his friends and wife alloting them the best flights.
On September 15, VD Katrekar, manager, cabin crew movement control was chargesheeted by the vigilance department of AI for favouring 18 colleagues including his wife who is an air-hostess.
“The Central Vigilance Commission asked the airline’s vigilance department to conduct an inquiry against him,” said an airline source.
Katrekar would often give his colleagues and wife VIP flights, which would help them make political connections.
