Delay ordeal for Air India passengers from UAE

Air India Express passengers from Dubai and Abu Dhabi were stranded in Thiruvananthapuram international airport for over five hours on Friday, after their Kozhikode-bound flights were impacted by poor visibility.
Approximately 203 passengers on Flight IX 344 (Dubai-Kozhikode) and IX 348 (Abu Dhabi-Kozhikode) were delayed, according to a report in The Hindu newspaper.
The duty time of pilots on both flights also expired as a result of the delay and replacements were deployed from Bangalore, with travellers confined to the aircraft in the meantime.
"The air conditioning unit of the aircraft was shut down and no food was provided to us. Since it is a low cost carrier, we had just a can of juice and snacks in the flight. We had come down to be with the relatives for the Eid-Ul-Fitr and are tired," stated a passenger.
