Heavy rains delays landing of five flights at Kolkata

Kolkata: Heavy rains which lashed the city and low visibility today delayed the landing of five flights at the N S C Bose International Airport here, airport source said. As the visibility was low during the heavy rains which lashed from 3.30 pm to 5.30 pm, the landing of flights at the airport was delayed and many of the flights hovered over the airport before landing, the sources said. Five flights - two Indigo flights from Dimapur and Agartala, two Air India flights from Delhi and Bagdogra and a Kingfisher flight from Agartala hovered in the air for sometime before they could land in the airport, they said.
