New Delhi: The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) has arrested an Indian returning from Pakistan for allegedly smuggling fake Indian currency notes to the tune of over Rs 11 lakh.
Sources told The Indian Express that Imran Abdullah, 29, was arrested from the Indira Gandhi International Airport on August 31 while returning from Karachi on Pakistan International Airlines flight with fake Indian currency worth Rs 11.21 lakh.
Abdullah, a small-time trader, was presented before the court on Wednesday and sent in judicial custody.
