Expedite arrest of pilot, women's panel tells CM

Gurgaon: The Delhi Commission of Women (DCW) has written to Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda and the Gurgaon police commissioner to expedite the arrest of the pilot who has been accused of raping an airhostess.
This after the Commission received a complaint from a Gurgaon-based airhostess who alleged that pilot Amar Ramchandani of MDLR airlines raped her on the pretext of marriage. The woman had got an FIR registered in Sector-53 police station, following which the pilot was suspended.
DCW chairperson Barkha Singh has brought the incident to the notice of the chief ministers of Haryana and Rajasthan asking them to take appropriate action against Amar Ramchandani. The suspects father Ashok Ramchandani lives in Jaipur.
The woman reportedly told DCW that the suspects father forcibly made her sign on certain statement papers.
The victim, meanwhile, said: On 16 September, we were in the car when I asked him about marriage. He dragged me out the car and started beating me on the road. Some autorickshaw drivers saw him beating me and they stopped him and called police.
