Jaipur: A phone call that a bomb has planted in the plane today delayed Air India's Dubai-bound flight carrying 73 passengers and 6-member crew at Sanganer Airport here, a senior police official said.
The (Mumbai-Jaipur-Delhi- Dubai) flight IC895, which came from Mumbai at around 1630 hours, was checked thoroughly after all passengers were evacuated by the airport authority and Rajasthan police, inspector general of police B L Soni said.
Baggages of all passengers were searched and passed through x-ray machines, the IG said, adding sniffer dogs and bomb squad personnel were pressed into service but no explosive material was found inside the aircraft. The flight was allowed to take off for Delhi with passengers at around 1730 hrs, about 30 minutes late.
