SpiceJet brings a cheaper flight option to Delhi

Kathmandu: SpiceJet, India’s most preferred low fare airline, has commenced its flights to Kathmandu starting from today.
The landmark flight took off from New Delhi today morning and was received by Minister of Tourism and Civil Aviation (MoTCA) Sharat Singh Bhandari at the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu.
“SpiceJet has chosen Kathmandu as its first international destination and this flight also marked the commencement of international operations for the airline,” said the company.
The historic flight ferried top SpiceJet management including Kishore Gupta, director, Bhulo Kansagra, promoter and director, and Samyukth Sridharan, chief commercial officer. The first Kathmandu–Delhi flight was flagged off by minister Bhandari in the presence of the SpiceJet team.
The base fare on the Kathmandu-New Delhi route begins from Rs 2,399. SpiceJet will fly its new generation Boeing 737-800 (189-seater) aircraft on these routes.
