Chennai: Two accidents took place in the last two days inside the Chennai airport, in the operational area where aircraft are handled.
Early on Sunday morning, an Air India tractor and Kingfisher Airline's crew shuttle van collided in the apron area of domestic terminal.
Sources said the Kingfisher Airline's crew van was damaged in the accident that took place at 3.30 am. No one was injured.
In another incident, a private carrier's bus hit a Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) constable inside the airport around 7 am on Saturday.
Airport director E P Hareendranathan said that an inquiry had been ordered into the accidents and that corrective steps would be taken.
