Captain Gopinath's high flying venture

Captain Gopinath is restless again. After selling his stake in Air Deccan, he has aggressive plans for his other business vetures. His air cargo business, charter flights business, and aircraft maintainance, repair and overhaul venture will soon hit the turbo boost, reports CNBC-TV18’s Sunanda Jayaseelan.
Captain Gopinath has embarked on his latest mission -- to change the way cargo is handled in India. Afterall, at USD 500 million, India’s express logistics industry is just a speck when compared to at the USD 60 billion industry in the US, or the USD 40 billion industry in Europe. Gopinath says a uniform GST regime will be crucial to the industry's growth. Captain Gopinath said, “I think the single most imp thing for India is not only the physical barriers at the check posts but the fiscal barriers.”
At the moment, his service reaches 60 cities through a combination of road and air travel.
