DIAL throws spanner in Air India’s T3 transfer plans

New Delhi: The tussle between Air India and GMR-backed airport operator Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) seems to have taken a turn for the worse with the latter now stating that all domestic operations of the national carrier would be moved to Terminal 3 on November 11, as against Air India’s decision to shift on Sunday itself.
DIAL sources said the domestic operations of Air India would not shift to Terminal 3 before next Thursday, only three days ahead of other domestic airlines. To tide over the trouble at Delhi Airport with the partial shifting of its domestic sector flights on October 31, Air India had announced that the airline would shift all operations to T3 on Sunday. This was intended to put a check on the enormous delays in flight operations being suffered due to shortage of manpower.
