Hire a snooze cabin if your flight is delayed

New Delhi: Next time there is a long wait at IGI airport between two flights, you would not have to pass time snoozing on the chairs. The airport is now offering five sleep cabins to international passengers which come equipped with a bed, television, wi-fi and charging points.
The porta cabins, known as `Sams Snooze At My Space', will be available for $7 or approximately Rs 315 per hour. This is the first time that such a facility has been made available at any Indian airport. The cabins are located at the international departure pier, opposite boarding gate no 17 at the new integrated terminal 3.
"The cabins are made with state-of-the-art technology and are equipped with a bed to rest and sleep, working table for the laptop, wi-fi facility, electric plugs, a flat-screen television, a DVD player and cell phone charging sockets. These will be a boon for transit passengers,'' said a Delhi International Airport (P) Ltd ( DIAL) official.
According to officials, the use of cabins come at a nominal cost compared to the charges of transit hotels at other major airports across the world.
