New Delhi: The Civil Aviation Ministry on Thursday postponed the second hearing in the case where airline JetLite is facing charges of negligence and allegedly causing the death of a passenger on board.
A ministry official told The Indian Express that JetLite has sought additional time. “The airline said that it received the intimation regarding the meeting at a short notice so they could not send their representative,” the official said.
The meeting has now been scheduled for January 6.
The 76-year-old victim’s daughter Deepika Chohan has accused the airline of causing the death of her father who was travelling in a JetLite flight from Lucknow to Delhi in May.
