Air India offers free companion ticket on select destinations

Mumbai: Next time when you fly to London or Paris in the executive/first class of the flag-carrier Air India, you can take your spouse along by shelling out a few extra rupees.
As a part of its business promotion campaign, Air India today offered an attractive fare scheme: 'buy one get one free' to customers flying on its London, Frankfurt, Paris and Toronto routes.
The totally free companion ticket at the highest market fare can be availed at these destinations from India if the passenger buys a ticket in executive or first-class between January 27 and February 10, 2011, a press release said in Mumbai.
However, fuel surcharge and non-airline taxes will be payable on the companion ticket.
Also, the journey should be undertaken between February 1 and April 30, 2011, it said.
