Kingfisher faces music for a damaged guitar

Bangalore: A Bangalore consumer disputes redressal forum has asked the Kingfisher Airlines to pay one of its guests Rs15,000 as compensation for his damaged guitar and bag.
The II Additional District Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum directed the managing director of the airlines to compensate the guest, Somen Dawn, within a month. In case of non-compliance of the directive, the airlines would have to pay an annual interest of 9%.
Dawn found his guitar and bag damaged on his arrival in Bangalore from Kolkata on November 3, 2008. Though he had apprised the airlines of the damages, it refused to compensate the passenger, but later offered him Rs2,500.
