Thick fog hits flights

Patna: North-westerly winds sweeping the state caused thick fogs to descend in Patna sky hitting flight operations at the Jayaprakash Narayan International airport here on Thursday.
Go Air's Delhi-Patna-Delhi (G8-341) flight was cancelled due to poor visibility and adverse weather conditions, sources said. Jet Air's Kolkata-Patna-Kolkata (9W-2853) flight was also cancelled due to the same reasons.
Passengers were put to much inconvenience as the two flights were cancelled and other flights ran short of space to accommodate the affected fliers. A chaos-like situation was created at the airport and most of the passengers remained a harried lot.
