Bangalore: Air passengers travelling between February 9 and 13 are advised to re-check their flight timings, as Aero India 2011, Asia’s biggest aero show, will affect several schedules operating from the Bengaluru International Airport.
They are also advised to start early to catch their flights, since the vehicular traffic on Bellary Road towards the airport is likely to be affected. The authorities are planning a few traffic diversions along the route.
Several flights will be rescheduled to provide safe airspace to the participants of the five-day event, to be hosted at the Yelahanka Air Force base.
“The Aero India will have aerobatic shows by the Surya Kiran and Sarang teams of the Indian Air Force. The aerobatics will be on display twice a day, from 10am to 12noon and 2.30pm to 4.30pm, except on the inaugural day,” principal secretary of the department of infrastructure development V Madhu said.
