Kolkata: Air India has announced a special fare for all women passengers travelling on its domestic network on March 8, International Women's Day. While economy class tickets have been priced Rs 99 (plus tax), those who wish to travel executive class can do so at `1,199 (plus tax).
An AI official said the special fare was yet another promotion from Air India to enable women to enjoy their special day.
"The national carrier has always provided equal opportunities to women who constitute nearly 19% of our workforce in key areas of activity including specialized technical areas and senior management.
