New Delhi: Air India’s pilot union, Indian Commercial Pilots Association (ICPA), which had given a call for strike on March 9, may see a split in its ranks in a meeting on Thursday, with a section of pilots against the move.
The faction opposing the strike has also protested against ICPA’s directive against Capt Sandeep Marwaha, barring its members from flying — either as passenger or commander — on a flight. Marwaha, an OSD to the CMD, operated a flight with an ICPA member on Wednesday, said sources.
ICPA had alleged Marwaha, who is seen as close to the management, attended union meetings and passed on information about the union’s activities.
