Jet, Kingfisher join AI in Indians' evacuation from Libya

Private carriers Jet Airways and Kingfisher Airlines have joined hands with Air India in 'operation homecoming '. The two private airlines would help the national carrier in bringing stranded Indians back home from strife-torn Libya .
Jet and Kingfisher's special flights would be flying to Djerba in Tunisia and Alexandria in Egypt respectively to bring back the Indians stranded in the African nation.
After receiving directions from the ministry of external affairs (MEA), Jet Airways and Kingfisher Airlines on Thursday decided to operate three special flights to the region.
Jet will operate two 170-seater Boeing 737-800 aircraft from Mumbai to Djerba for evacuation on March 3 and 5.
