New Delhi: Air India pilots, who have decided to go on strike on March 9 in protest against delay in non-implementation of their demands including pay parity, will meet Chief Labour Commissioner SK Mukhopadhyay on Tuesday. The meering will also be attended by Air India management.
The Indian Commercial Pilots Association (ICPA) met Civil Aviation Minister Vayalar Ravi who has set a three-member committee to consider the demands of the agitating Air India pilots and appealed to them not to go on strike on Wednesday.
In turn, ICPA leaders, who had given a notice for going on strike on March 9, said they would consider the appeal at a meeting of their Central Executive Committee.
The development came after the ICPA leaders met the Minister, along with Air India CMD Arvind Jadhav and Civil Aviation Secretary Nasim Zaidi, late on Monday and discussed their demands including pay parity.
