Three involved in over 100 cases of airport thefts arrested

New Delhi: Three persons hailing from Maharashtra, who were allegedly involved in more than 100 cases of thefts at airports across the country, were arrested in the capital, police said today.
The trio''s arrests came following investigations into a complaint that Rs four lakh was stolen from a passenger at T-3 of IGI airport here on February 25. The arrested have been identified as Dwarkesh Dodde (43), Ushakant (53) and Shanker (57).
They were earlier arrested in 2008 in similar cases.
The police obtained CCTV footage from IGI airport and confirmed the involvement of accused. Accordingly, the team started to get information about their activities through electronic surveillance.
They were apprehended from Sector -10 of Dwarka recently.
