Air India introduces mobile check-in at six metros

New Delhi: Air India has introduced mobile check-in facility for its domestic passengers from the six major metros — Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad and Bengaluru.
“Air India’s mobile check-in facility, which is being made available for all domestic travel from the six major metros from Thursday, will be extended to other stations and international flights in a phased manner,” said the spokesperson of Air India. The facility enables passengers to check-in for their flights from their web-enabled mobile hand sets by accessing http://flyai.mobi and follow the sequence-wise instructions as given on the mobile screen.
Mobile check-in is aimed at eliminating queues at metro airports and reducing waiting time and is yet another add on facility for the passengers along the lines of tele check-in, web check-in and self check-in kiosks.

Only one passenger will be able to check-in through a single transaction. However, in case of multi-passenger PNR, where more than one passenger has to be checked-in, each passenger would need to check-in separately. Passengers with check-in baggage may also avail this facility.
