Air India magazines merged; Maxposure Media to publish Namaskar

Delhi: It is learnt from the highly placed sources in the industry that Air India has awarded the contract of publishing its in-flight magazine Namaskar to Maxposure media and the national carrier has also shut Swagat magazine, which was for domestic flights. Namaskar, which was exclusive in-flight magazine for international flights, will now be available in both international and domestic flights. The new contract is understood to be for 3 years and effective from this month.
Maxposure Media remained tight-lipped on the development while sources close to the development confirmed this to BestMediaInfo.com.
CMYK Printech Ltd, a firm promoted by journalist Chandan Mitra, which also owns and publishes English daily The Pioneer got the contract for Air India’s second inflight magazine ‘Namaskar’ in 2008. CMYK got this contract in 2008 for the period of three years
Till now Swagat was being published by Media Transasia, which also publishes Maxim and Better Homes. Swagat Magazine was one of the biggest magazines from the house of Media Transasia.
